BAEF’s Magnolia and Rose Scholarship, given each year to several deserving young women that attend Missouri S&T was renamed the Harold K. Chernoff Memorial Magnolia and Rose Scholarship in memory of Harold. Harold was initiated into KA in 1980 and became active in volunteering over 10 years ago. Harold was instrumental in the founding of the Beta Alpha Education Foundation and in establishing our methods of giving.
Harold felt very strongly that women on campus should be recognized through scholarship giving. The BAEF is proud to continue this tradition in Harold’s name. Four fine young women received scholarships of $1000 each at the 2019 Homecoming Banquet at Matt’s Steakhouse in Rolla, MO on October 5, 2019.
